Story:
A tale with twists and turns, the story begins in London and here is Subhash Chandra Gandhi (upendra) who is a businessman. He is a true Indian at heart and wants to do any transaction which will benefit the motherland. He comes across a dance troupe which is stuck in London and helps them. In that troupe is the domestic looking Indira (nayantara) and it is love at first sight for Gandhi. The marriage happens but then the truth comes out as Indira comes to take revenge on Gandhi. The reason for that is her elder sister Mandira (tulip joshi) and Indira feels Gandhi is responsible for her tragedy. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with an excellent storyline and the presentation was good, the narrative was stimulating. The dialogues were powerful, the script was written with twists and the screenplay was gripping. Background score was nice and songs were canned very well. The real credit goes to the cinematography department for its visual appeal. Art department was rich and the costumes were royal. Editing was good. Upendra comes across in his trademark style and gives the required punch dialogues. Nayantara looks sensuous and she carries her role with élan. Tulip Joshi was cute and gives visual feast through one song. Sudarshan and GV are alright. Sadhu Kokila and Ali bring the roof down with their comedy. Jeeva was neat, Nagendra Shah was natural, the others did their bit as required and added value to the film.

Conclusion:

The film is not only a technical extravaganza but it is also a big budget venture which has the right kind of richness in it. Along with that, the twists and turns in the script give enough edge of the chair moments. There is enough for the masses as well as the class audience. While the first half is smooth with the regular elements of romance, sentiment but it is the second half that takes up a spike and subjects like today's politics, the current system etc are also dealt. At the box office, this is a sure shot success and Uppi has set a new standard in the Kannada cine circuit.
Verdict: Super!!
