Producer(s): Siva Prasad Reddy
Director: Ajay Bhuyan
Music: DSP
Casting: Naga chaitanya, kajal,sreeram, sameeksha,mukesh rushi,Rahul Dev,Kelly Dorjee,Brahmanandam,Ali.
Story: Nagarjuna compared Naga Chaitanya ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ with his ‘Gitanjali’ and ‘Dhada’ with his ‘Shiva’. The statement created lot of buzz and fans are eager to see Naga Chaitanya in action oriented role. The film released today and we will see how close ‘Dhada’ movie compared to Nagarjuna hit movie ‘Shiva’.
Vishwa ( Naga Chaitanya) stays with his brother Rajeev ( Sri Ram) and SIL ( Sameeksha) in USA. One day Vishwa rescues young girls from the custody of RD ( Rahul Dev) and Kelly ( Kelly Dorjee) who do business with young girls flesh. RD gang is on the lookout for Vishwa to kill him for bringing crores of rupees loss to their business by rescuing the girls.
Ria ( Kajal),only daughter of Mukesh Rushi, a business tycoon who is money minded. Like in every film Vishwa fell in love with her and after few reels Kajal also reciprocates. But, Mukesh Rushi fixes her marriage with a young billionaire Amith. Vishwa and Ria caught red handed by Amith while romancing learnt that Ria loves Viswa. Amith approaches RD and gives Rs 1 Cr to kill Vishwa.
RD gives the eliminating of Vishwa task to his trusted gang member Rajeev. Rest of the story how Vishwa eliminates villains and marries Ria.
Performance: Naga Chaitanya who scored hits with soft characters in 'Ye Maya Chesave' and '100% Love' tried to change his image to an action hero with this film. Unfortunately, the role doesn't have enough mass elements to elevate him. There is lot of scope for improvement in action, diction and body language. He has to improve his dancing skills.
Kajal is very disappointing in cry baby role. It is better to avoid the movie if you are a Kajal fan. Sri Ram and Sameeksha justified their roles. Rahul Dev acted well as villain. Kelly Dorjee got limited role.
Brahmanandam, Ali comedy is painful. If you blink your eye you will miss MS Narayana, Venu Madhav , Dharmavarapu Subrahamanyam, Uttej and Tanikella Bharani.
Technical: The director of the film Ajay Bhuyan failed to deliver the big task of projecting Naga Chaitanya in action oriented role. Director chose a week story and laced it with mediocre script. It looks like director forcibly added his ideas in the script making it irrelevant and illogical. In one word, he is the main culprit to the movie. He is an Assistant Director material. Poor editing also had its share in poor outcome.
Music by Devi Sri Prasad is average. Songs are good for listening, but picturisation diluted the effect. Background score cacophonous.
Gnanasekhar cinematography is pretty ordinary. Choreography should have been better. Most of the songs are picturised like Album songs. Abuuri Ravi dialogues are OK. Chase scenes need lot of trimming.
Final Analysis: Naga Chaitnaya did a blunder by acting in the direction of novice director Ajay Bhuyan. Director inexperience showed in every frame of the movie. Director didn’t etched Naga Chaitanya role for that matter any role in the movie. Kajal role also disappoints heavily in the movie. No comedy rather poor comedy ads lag to the already slow paced movie. Songs are already there as speed breakers.
There is absolutely no story in the first half other than hero confrontation with villain gang once and their search for hero. Second half continues with the search plus Kajal- Vishwa love story. The movie runs at slow pace start to finish with head banging scenes in between. One can estimate the progress of the movie just after watching the first ten minutes. The movie can be trimmed in to half still won’t get the better effect.
After watching the movie one wonder how Nagarjuna compared his ‘Shiva’ with Naga Chaitanya ‘Dhada’. Finally, sit tight at home and avoid ‘Dhada’ as much as possible. Its survival at the box office will be max one or two weeks.
