Tablet market is becoming cheaper day by day!!! Nowadays, Indians are taking a benefit of high-valued technology at their budget price. Just few months ago, world’s cheapest tablet “Aakash” hit the Indian market. With this new launch, several other company has started working on developing comparable tablets for targeting school and college students.
To beat the World’s first cheapest tablet, another low cost tablet“Classpad” has been launched by Rohit Pande, graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta. Aakash tablet permits every student to participate in the process of learning, while Classpad permits teachers to convey class work to the students’ tablet as well as conduct test/assessments and share their own content more effectively.
Classpad comes in the market with three model including Classpad 7, Classpad 8 and Classpad 10 which is set with the price range of Rs. 7,500-14,500. Aakash tablet is available in the market at the price of Rs.2,500. Though the price of the Classpad is two to three times more than Aakash tablet, it is called as cheapest tablet. As a feature and specification wise, Classpad is better than Aakash because it offers 7-hours battery life, 1.3 GHz processing speed and a built-in memory of 4 GB, expandable to 8 GB, while Aakash offers only 3 hour battery life, built-in memory of 2 GB, expandable to 32 GB.

Display:
Aakash comes with 7-inch resistive touchscreen with 800×480 pixel resolution, while Classpad tablet has a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024×600 pixel resolution.
Processor:
The price of Classpad is higher than Aakash so definitely classpad arrives with some better features. Both cheapest tablet runs on Android 2.2 operating system with diverse processor. Aakash comes with Arm11 – 366 MHz processor, while Classpad is equipped with faster processor, Cortex A8 (1GHz).
Memory:
Nowadays, most of the devices come with rich memory capacity, so users can store anything in their one device like their documents, favorite songs, videos, etc. Aakash offers 2 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with MicroSD card slot and Classpad offers 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 8GB. If you are eager to enjoy songs and watch videos, then Aakash tablet can be best choice for you, because with this device, you can store many things by expanding their actual memory.
Camera:
Camera feature is now available in almost all telecommunication devices and high-range tablets. It becomes more common feature in recent time. India’s first cheapest tablet, “Aakash” is not offered with this feature, while the new line of cheapest tablet , “Classpad” is offered with 0.3 megapixel front camera, which is capable to capture video. Classpad also offers stereo speakers for listening music very clearly.
Battery life:
Battery life of the Aakash tablet is so poor which runs up to maximum 3 hours with full charge, while Classpad is packed with Rechargeable Li-poly battery Power Adapter that runs up to 7 hours with full charge. It gives up to 4.5 hours of video playback, 6 hours of web browsing and 17 hours of music.
Connectivity:
On the connectivity front, both tablet has Wi-Fi and equipped with USB 2.0 port and a mini HDMI port.
As per my recommendations, Classpad is better compared to Aakash tablet, because it comes with more battery life, more internal memory, camera, and faster processor. Price of Classpad is very high so maybe middle class men can not afford it.
