Nippu Movie Review

Movie: Nippu
Cast: Raviteja, Deeksha Seth…
Music: Thaman S
Director: Gunasekhar
Producer: Y.V.S. Choudary
Release Date: 17 Feb 2012

Story:
A regular tale, the story begins with Surya (Ravi Teja) who runs a gym centre. He is in love with Meghana (deeksha) and her brother Sriram (sriram) happens to be a good friend of Surya. On the other hand, Surya enters into few tiffs with the local don Raja Goud (pradeep rawath) and Raja is waiting for a chance to take revenge. The story takes a turn when Surya goes to Saudi to be part of the birthday celebrations of Sriram who goes there for job. However, the Saudi police arrest Sriram on charges of murdering Vaishnavi (bhavana). Who is Vaishnavi? How does Surya deal with this problem. All this forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
The mass maharaj is quite spirited in his role (as Surya) like his previous films. He is equipped with every other component required for a soulful performance that he has been delivering since his foray into acting. Even so, he appears regular and routine, probably because we’re used to his peculiar gesticulations, modulations in dialogues and hysterics. He also seems to have been wasted on many occasions.
Deeksha Seth is super hot and showed improvement as an actress. She puts up a matured, reasonable and glamorous show. Rajendra Prasad is too good, while Sriram as Ravi Teja’s crony is inspiring and Bhavana is impressive. Brahmanandam, Krishnudu, Dharmavarapu, Supreet, Brahmaji, Pradeep Rawat and Jayaprakash Reddy are hilarious. Master Bharat slims down and takes us by surprise in his toned body. All the actors are satisfactory but not used to the fullest, for some reasons.

Technical Analysic:
Sarvesh Murari renders us speechless with his cinematography, which of course comes as a qualitative feature for the flick. All the musical compositions are shot superbly. The fights bear the mark of Gunasekhar – gruesome, violent and powerful.
Thaman’s music is not up to the mark, especially when expectations sky-rocketed post-Dookudu and Businessman. Background was pretty decent and helped lifting the plot. Story is decent, especially the point that the act revolves around. Narration is nothing special and screenplay is unimposing. Dialogues are mediocre and direction is average.
Plus Points:
Cinematography
Re-recording
Comedy in parts

Second hour on few occasions
Certain dialogues in second-half
Basic point of the film
The way the death sentence is executed in Saudi
Minus Points:
First-half
Confused narration
Lack of the necessary dose of comic ingredients
Serious point handled in humorous way
Screenplay
Final Verdict:
Not That Hot … Rating: 2.5/5
