Mahindra stuns bike lovers with stylish Mojo and Stallio

After months of speculation auto major Mahindra and Mahindra finally took the wraps off its first offering in the premium bike section — Mojo Magic.
Displayed in the city at a press briefing along with the entry-level bike Stallio on Thursday, Mojo Magic is expected to be available in the market by January. The two bikes are designed by the Italian designing firm, Engine Engineering, which the automaker
took over in 2008. The Mojo impressed everyone with its Italian designing cues, something that the automaker doesn't mind boasting about.
But at `1.75 lakhs, the Mojo, powered with a 290 cc liquid cooled engine, seems a little bit on the expensive side. The automaker hopes its stylish designing will make up for that.
Also since there is not much competition in the 250 cc to 500 cc segment, except from Royal Enfield, which makes only cruisers in India, Mahindra and Mahindra expects a smooth sail in the country.
The Stallio, however, available at ‘47,000, an entry level motorcycle with 106.7 cc engine will face tough competition as it is placed in the most popular segment in the country, with competitors like Hero Honda, Bajaj and TVS having a strong presence.
M&M currently sells three scooters including Duro, Flyte and Rodeo and is also planning more motorcycles in between the 106 cc Stallio and 292 cc Mojo very soon.
